Coriolanus Snow was the tyrannical president of Panem. In his youth, he was known by the nickname Coryo, originally given to him by his cousin Tigris.
President Coriolanus Snow is the main antagonist of Suzanne Collins' 2008-2010 The Hunger Games novel trilogy and the main protagonist of its 2020 prequel novel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
In the original book trilogy, President Snow is a cruel and ruthless dictator who rules Panem with an iron fist. He is responsible for the annual Hunger Games, a televised event in which 24 children are forced to fight to the death. Snow's ultimate goal is to maintain control of Panem by instilling fear and obedience in its citizens.
