The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed Marquese Chriss to a multi-year contract, the team announced on Sunday. Chriss, a 25-year-old forward, was a free agent after playing for the Mavericks last season.
Chriss averaged 9.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 27 games with the Mavericks last season. He is expected to provide depth and athleticism to the Mavericks' frontcourt.
The Mavericks are coming off a disappointing season, in which they finished 38-44 and missed the playoffs. They are hoping that the addition of Chriss will help them improve their record and make a playoff push this season.
